This Squamish home buyers guide is designed to help make the process of buying a home in Squamish feel more manageable, informed, and exciting from start to finish.

1. Getting Pre-Approval

Speaking to a mortgage broker is a crucial first step. I'll connect you with a mortgage specialist to prepare and submit the documents necessary to obtain your pre-approval.

2. Defining Your Search

Tell us exactly what you are looking for in your dream home. Include your favourite neighbourhoods, how many beds/baths you will need, the style and age of home, etc.

3. View Your Options

We will send you regular updates with homes that best fit your criteria. Together we can set up viewing, attend open houses, and find your perfect home!

4. Present an Offer

When you find what you're looking for, we will prepare an offer and negotiate on your behalf to reach an agreement acceptable for both you and the sellers.

5. Removing Subjects

This is the stage where we ensure the condition of the property, examining it top to bottom, inside and out. An inspection will be conducted, we will review all relevant documents and financing will be approved.

6. Meet With Lawyers

After subjects have been removed, the sellers will forward all pertinent information to your lawyer. You can expect a call to sign paperwork 1-2 weeks prior to your possession.

7. Completion

The last step before we receive the keys! Your final purchase paperwork and the bank draft is sent to the sellers via your lawyer.

8. Possession

Generally 1-2 days after completion, we will receive keys from the sellers and coordinate their delivery to you!

9. Move-In Preparations

It's time to plan your move! This is your time to pack, hire movers, and transfer utilities, mail subscriptions, etc.

10. Move In!

Congratulations! Move in and enjoy your new home!
